Back in the Game

It's been a while since I've posted anything useful as far as gaming goes. Now that I have my blog back, I'd like to change that and start posting more of the materials I've developed and collected.

To start, here's a map I made not too long ago in Photoshop. I was playing around with new techniques for creating hand-drawn maps digitally, without the use of a Wacom. I really like the result. The map is done by making rectangular shapes over the grid, then stroking the borders of those shapes and giving them an outer glow. The glow provides a mask for the outer shading. I finish it up with columns, doors, etc. as detailing.

I wish I could remember what the setup was for this map so I could provide a legend, but I have no idea. So here you go, a random map for you to fill in and use as you see fit.
