The party are looking for a lost island ruin. They discover that one man actually visited the ruins and can tell them exactly where it is - the only problem is that he's a scurvy pirate scallywag known for his drunken rages, but equally known for his detailed diary.

The party eventually make their way to the game world equivalent of Tortuga where, after busting some heads to get information, they learn that the pirate was killed in a recent battle with Captain Law. But surely, the party rationalize, someone must have taken his things. Someone knows where his diary ended up.

"Aye," says one of the pirates they've bloodied. "It's been placed in the pirate aaaaarchives."
